Cindy Sheedy Walker

Cindy Sheedy Walker

Cindy Sheedy Walker, began her career in the travel industry in 1987 as a guide in an Austrian Ski resort. This was followed by joining an International cruise line and traveling extensively throughout Europe. In 1990 she joined the airline industry within a sales and marketing environment.

After several years the opportunity to develop a Game Lodge and Wildlife Conservancy presented itself. Once the four star lodge and Big 4 reserve was firmly established, Cindy moved on to the development of a Private Concession within the Kruger National Park and the design and launch of three five star camps.

In 2002 a position as Sales and Marketing Manager Game Lodges at a leading hotel group (the fourth largest hotel group in South Africa with 42 hotels, resorts and lodges) became available and during the subsequent years she moved on to manage the full sales team (30 staff) based in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Mpumalanga, Gaborone, Mozambique and internationally in the UK, USA, Italy and Scandinavia. As additional portfolio's she was responsible for all marketing and PR activities in addition to the Central Reservations of the group.

2009 saw the launch of Extraordinary in order to provide a sales and marketing service to hotels and lodges in Southern Africa.

Kate started in the operations side of the business where she has extensive experience in reservations, systems and rates management. After graduating from University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1995, she started working in the hospitality industry. her career of 15 years has been varied and exciting. She worked at two of the best 5 star game lodges in the Sabi Sands, before turning to the corporate market where she was employed at a large conferencing resort as a banqueting and events coordinator. Her overseas work experience includes a two and half year stay in the UK in sales and a year in Tanzania where she worked in public relations for a lodge in the Serengeti. Until recently she held the position of Rates Manager in a large hotel group.

Sales and Marketing Manager Kingfisher Resorts to Extraordinary

Tracey has been in the Travel Industry since 1997 but her sales career began with Imperial Car Rental in 1999 where she moved with them from Port Elizabeth to Johannesburg and finally down to Cape Town. She was awarded Sales Executive of the year for two consecutive years in a row in 2001 and 2002. In 2003 Tracey left Imperial Car rental for a short stint as a Key Account Manager with Arabella Holdings. In 2004 she was given the opportunity of joining Imperial Chauffeur Drive as their Sales Manager to develop their sales division, after building and growing their sales department extensively, it was incorporated into the Car Rental division. Tracey then moved to Sun International in 2006 as a Key Account Manager where she relocated with them to Johannesburg in 2007. She was awarded the title Key Account Manager of the year in 2007 and most recently in 2009. To further her career aspirations she was given the opportunity of joining Extraordinary Marketing Concepts in 2010 as Sales and Marketing Manager for Kingfisher Resorts.

Reservations Manager

Stacy's working career began from 1995 in the Timeshare Leisure Industry, where she started in administration and moved into reservations and customer services.  In 2006 she started at Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve where she was employed in the central reservations department based in Johannesburg.  In 2008 she received the opportunity to work for Kingfisher Resorts managing the reservations for the Imbali Safari Lodges in the Kruger National Park.  When Extraordinary Reservations was launched in March 2010, which took over the central reservations function for a number of properties in the portfolio, it was a natural choice for her to move over and be apart of creating the department.

A well-known individual in the Safari business, Fabrizio hails from a long career in travel including Wilderness Safaris and several other well-known hospitality companies. His passion for the bush and extensive knowledge of South Africa and its neighboring countries has equipped him for the Extraordinary challenge of looking after the inbound market in Gauteng.

Corporate Sales Executive - Johannesburg

Further to her studies in Conference and Events Management, Shanna started her career at Joburg Conferences as a Professional Conference Organiser.
She then moved on to a sales position at Icu security Solutions, she started by generating leads and co-ordinating clientele visitations for sales consultants and managers she then was promoted to sales consultant and again to account manager.
Shanna left the security industry to go back to her passion, conferencing and events and started as a sales executive at an upmarket conferencing and special events venue in Sunninghill. All this experience has helped equip her for ventures at Extraordinary.

Donna spent three years in London where her passion for the hospitality industry grew whilst working in Reservations Sales for one of the leading and most distinguished hotel groups. Upon her return home she started her career in Sales with an internationally renowned hotel chain.  She is now the newest member of the Extraordinary team focusing on the inbound leisure and domestic market based in Cape Town.
